1. Introduce your app
Why it's important
Introducing your app to your community is the first step in building awareness and excitement. You’ll want this post to be highly visually engaging, and show off the best pages of your app.
How to do it
Announce the launch: Create an engaging post announcing the launch or update of your app. Use phrases like ‘new’, ‘introducing’ or ‘launch’ to pique your audience’s interest.
Use video content: Creating your posts as videos is a great way to increase engagement and discoverability—and it doesn’t need to be as hard as you may think. You can use Canva to easily animate elements of your post (e.g. animate text or incorporate a background video), or better yet, use the templates we’ve made that already have animation built-in!

2. Ensure customers know how to access your app
Why it’s important
Ensuring your customers understand how to access and use your app is crucial for adoption. Movement apps are created with Progressive Web App (PWA) technology, and while your customers may not need to understand all the great benefits of PWAs, they do need to understand how to access your app. Your members can easily download your app to their home screen and Movement app downloads are fast, lightweight and simple!
How to do it
Provide clear instructions: Create a post that provides a step-by-step guide on how to download your app. (Hint, we’ve created a template for you below!) Keep the visual instructions as succinct as possible, then consider what other information can be added in the caption for further context, such as mentioning that your customers don’t need to visit an app store.
Note: The instructions differ slightly for Android vs iPhone users so don’t forget to include instructions for both.
Explain the benefits: One of the key benefits of PWAs is their ability to be accessed in a browser on any device—which is a benefit you can use to promote your app! Let your audience know that they can use your app on whatever device suits them best, be it mobile, tablet or any computer.

Clearly communicating the features and benefits of your app helps potential members see the value in joining. While your introductory post can highlight some key benefits, this post will delve deeper into what customers can expect and look forward to.
How to do it
Carousel posts: Create a carousel post that goes in-depth into the unique features and benefits of your app. Your post can include information that answers common questions prospective customers will be thinking:

What’s included?
Is there anything ‘exclusive’ to the app that’s not found on your socials/websites, etc.?

Highlighting specific programs or courses within your app can attract potential customers to your higher-value, monetized content and showcase more of your app's unique features. It also helps app users identify which program or course may best suit their needs or goals, ensuring they make informed decisions. This targeted approach can boost user engagement and satisfaction, leading to better user retention and higher conversion rates.
How to do it
Single or carousel posts: Depending on how many programs or courses you offer, you may like to use the below templates for single posts for each program, or duplicate the pages in the template to create a carousel highlighting the differences between each program.
Repromote new content: If your audience is already familiar with your app, highlighting new content that you have added can be an easy way to repromote your app to your existing audience. This can be a great way to increase usage of your app or drive upsells of additional content.

5. Share testimonials
Why it’s important
Testimonials provide social proof and can significantly influence a potential customer’s decision to become a member of your app. By sharing how much others love your app, you highlight its value and effectiveness, and encourage new users to join and experience the benefits for themselves.
How to do it
Share customer testimonials: Use the templates below to share standout reviews as single posts, or combine multiple pages to create a carousel or video with multiple reviews.
Tip: If you have a long testimonial to share, it’s best to break it up over a few pages so you don’t overwhelm your audience with too much text. Alternatively, you can use the best part of the testimonial within the image, then provide the full testimonial in your caption. This also helps if you’re sharing the testimonial to your stories or highlights so that it remains legible.
Gather feedback: If your app is brand new and you don’t have testimonials yet don’t stress! Consider offering loyal customers a free trial in exchange for their feedback and testimonials. Tips for gaining feedback:
If you receive positive feedback directly via email or in a direct message/group chat, you can ask the member directly if they’re happy for the statement to be used as a testimonial.
You could consider sending a testimonial email or push campaign directing to a form in your app to obtain a testimonial after you’ve got a few members on your app that have had some time to progress through programs or content.

Organize a giveaway to increase engagement and attract new users. You could either give away a free subscription in exchange for tagging a friend on your post, or give away bonus merch (stickers, etc.) to the first 10 customers to subscribe to your app.

Offer a special launch discount to encourage early adopters of your app. You could either offer a limited-time discount, or offer a discount for your existing in-person customers.

Maintain brand consistency
Use your brand’s images, fonts, and colors in the templates to ensure consistency with your app and the rest of your social media channels.
Note: You may need to adjust the size of some text once you change the font.
Utilize videos and carousels
Videos and carousel posts tend to perform better on social media, so try to use them as much as possible.
Take good screenshots and screen recordings
Always download your app onto your phone to take screenshots instead of viewing your app in a browser on your mobile. Doing this eliminates the additional interface elements of the browser that only add unnecessary clutter to your screenshot.
Ensure all your images and other content have loaded before taking the screenshot.
If you’re taking a screen recording, ensure you’ve navigated around the app a couple of times before recording so that all content has loaded. Also, try to scroll slowly and controlled, without jumping around too much.
If you’re looking for a way to take screenshots on a different device, we recommend using the free Chrome extension Mobile Simulator.
Once installed, you can view your app on a range of mobiles, tablets and laptops.
Tip: When downloading screenshots to use in our Canva templates, make sure you toggle on ‘Hide the browser header and footer’ in the Settings on the bottom right, and choose ‘Screenshot without the device frame’ when downloading.
