When Sara Johnson was diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), the guidance she received was simple and devastating: get a wheelchair, and wait two years to see a specialist. For most people, that would have been the end of the story. For Sara, it was the beginning of a different one.
She and her husband Magnus had the expertise—Sara as an Exercise Therapist with a background in psychology from Harvard, Magnus in behavioral psychology and trauma resiliency. They had the lived experience of managing POTS, hEDS, and MCAS. And they had a program ready to go: SALT (Strength, Attitude, Life, Transcend), a research-backed training and community program for people with POTS who were done waiting, done being defined by a diagnosis, and ready to take their health back.
What they didn't have was time. Building from scratch wasn't an option. Many builders promised simplicity and delivered nothing but frustration—platform after platform eating up hours they couldn't afford to lose. They needed something that could match the urgency of what they were trying to put into the world. A program this important deserved a platform that could actually keep up: something clean, professional, and built to grow.
They found that in Movement and the Done for You service. SALT for POTs was born—now a comprehensive recovery app, helping members reduce symptoms, stabilize blood pressure, and build lives that don't revolve around a diagnosis.

Can you tell us about our business and who you help?
SALT is a training and community program for people with POTS. Sodium is foundational for managing POTS symptoms, but SALT is also our mantra: Strength, Attitude, Life, Transcend. It's as much a mindset as it is a method.
I'm a certified personal trainer with a background in psychology and anthropology from Harvard, and I have a deeply personal understanding of living with POTS, hEDS, and MCAS. My husband Magnus brings a background in behavioral psychology and trauma resiliency, and co-founded Mission 22. Together, we built SALT from the inside out, combining proven exercise techniques with the latest research on mindset and willpower, specifically designed for people living with POTS.
Over time, our members work toward real, measurable change: reduced symptoms, stabilised blood pressure, improved sleep, and a life that doesn't revolve around a diagnosis. But more than anything, SALT is a community. For people who are sick of being sick and refuse to let a diagnosis define them.

What problem were you facing before using Movement?
We needed a way to launch our program but did not have the time to do a full app dev. Other drag and drop builders were a nightmare and so time consuming—more time than we had.

For Sara and Magnus, Movement didn't just solve a tech problem, it transformed how SALT could show up for it’s community. They needed something that could match the urgency of what they were building: a complete solution to deliver guided workouts, nutrition programs, educational resources, community forums, and mindset training—all tailored specifically for people managing chronic conditions. What had been a frustrating, time-consuming search through platform after platform became a clean, professional program launch they were proud of, backed by a team that genuinely cared about their success.
Today, SALT is reaching people with POTS who have been told to wait, to slow down, to accept a life defined by their diagnosis. Movement gave Sara and Magnus the platform to say otherwise, and a community of people who are showing up every day to prove it.
When you build something this meaningful, the platform you choose matters. Movement exists for exactly that: to match your mission, whatever it looks like.
