Doctor of Physical Therapy, Lizzie Kiefer founded the Mind Body Core app as a dedicated space for pregnant and postpartum women to heal and thrive. With a holistic, full-body approach, Lizzie believes that movement is medicine and that simple, consistent practices can create profound, long-lasting results. “As a mama, I know that sometimes all you have is a quick 10 minutes. I teach simple movements that, when done consistently, have a profound effect on healing and strength.”

In this conversation, Lizzie shares her journey of finding the perfect platform for her programs and why she ultimately chose Movement.

Lizzie also discusses the challenges of other platforms and highlights what made Movement stand out: its intuitive drag-and-drop design, customization options, and the ability to combine workouts with educational content.

“It’s very customizable and it allows me to have a combo of workouts and learning modules which was super important. I also LOVE the scheduling feature and my members are loving it as well too!”

Since launching her programs on Movement nearly a year ago, Lizzie has seen increased client satisfaction and positive feedback, making the Mind Body Core app a vital resource for women seeking support in their healing journey. Dive into this conversation to learn more about Lizzie’s experience and the impact Movement has had on her business.

What lead you to create an app?

I wanted my members to have a quality experience that made it super user-friendly and able to just click and go. Most of my clients are women, specifically pregnant and postpartum women, so time management is important and anything that can make their healing journey easier, I want to help with that! And having the app definitely helps.

How did you come across Movement?

I found Movement through a friend of mine. I was doing some research on my own for an app that I could utilize for my program. I did come across Movement through that research and then I asked her about it, and she had really been enjoying it too.

Did you look at other platforms? Why did you choose Movement?

I was looking at three different platforms. I have used Kajabi for my course but as far as apps, I looked into PlayBook, Vimeo, and exercise.com. Neither had everything I was looking for, and Movement offered more!

Movement was the most appealing to me, based on how easy it is to drag and drop, and for somebody who's not super ‘techy’, it's very easy to use on the admin end. I love that I can just drag and drop, and it's very intuitive once you get the hang of it.

"I like that there were a lot of different options—I felt like with some of the other platforms you couldn't do educational pieces alongside the workout side of it. And with what I do, I do a lot of education, so Movement provides that, and that's something I was really looking for when I was originally searching for platforms or apps."

When did you start on Movement, and how has it impacted your client base?

About a year ago. I launched my programs in August, but I did them on Kajabi, and it just wasn't the platform I was really looking for. I found Movement pretty soon after that, maybe early October or late September. And then I launched my programs this time last year (November) on Movement.

"I get a lot of feedback from people, and a majority of it is really positive! Overall, people are really liking it. They like that it is web-based, and also can be on their home screen as an app, and they feel it's super intuitive."

How has Movement impacted your business?

It’s a little hard to say because I launched with Movement so soon after I launched the original program. But anyone who has switched over from Kajabi to Movement has said it's way better, and they love it. And with marketing my programs, it's so much easier and I feel it is a selling point that I have the app, and it's super easy to use. Also, the fact that Movement is always upgrading things, I really appreciate that and it's going to keep me around.

But overall, the app itself definitely has increased my sales or brought people in as a selling point, for sure.

What are your thoughts on not being on the app stores?

I was considering the pros and cons, but after looking into it, I don't know why more people aren't going for the web-based app. I can see there are maybe some downsides to it, but I love that Apple's not going to take a certain percentage—30% is insane—and I don't feel it's necessary. I feel like I'm getting everything I need. I love that my app updates automatically after I make changes. Overall, it’s been great.

Would you recommend Movement to others?

I would definitely recommend Movement to others. There are far more features within the Movement app and capabilities to have longer text modules, longer videos but also short exercise videos. The navigation for the user is really straightforward too.

"The team is incredible and make the process so much less of a headache and actually enjoyable!"

Do you have any other feedback or final thoughts?

The Movement app and team have been top notch. I am so glad I decided to go with Movement and my members are already raving about how easy it is to use, the ability to schedule, and be able to have ALL the information at the touch of their fingers.

Something I really, really love about you all is you are so willing to help me figure things out. And I really feel like you care about my business, and you want me to be successful. You have been really phenomenal.
