How Pediatric OT Lauren Fouché built her dream membership app—and hit 200 members in month one

Every parent of a child who struggles with focus, behaviour, or emotional regulation knows the exhaustion of searching for answers—trying strategy after strategy, never quite sure what will stick.

Lauren Fouché has been on both sides of that experience. As a pediatric occupational therapist and a mom, she built Focus in 15™ to be the resource she wished every family had: an ever-growing library of research-backed, OT-approved movement routines that help balance the brain and body in just 15 minutes a day. No overwhelm. No medication required. Just simple, play-based movement sequences—customizable to your child's needs—trusted by parents, therapists, and teachers alike.

Lauren's entire practice is built around reducing overwhelm and making things easier to navigate for kids and families. Building her membership on Circle, a platform that felt anything but simple, was a contradiction she couldn't ignore. If she was going to ask busy, overstretched parents to show up consistently, the experience had to be effortless from the very first tap.

Movement gave her exactly that: a platform as intuitive and accessible as the strategies she teaches, freeing her to focus entirely on the expertise she has to share.

Tell us about your business—who do you help, and what makes you passionate about what you do?

I'm Lauren Fouché AKA the Kinected OT, a pediatric occupational therapist and a mom. I help parents and child development professionals support kids' focus, emotional regulation, and learning through simple movement and sensory strategies that work within the nervous system.

One of the biggest things I see right now is that kids are not moving like they used to—and this is not just affecting their physical health. It's showing up in how they focus, handle frustration, and get through everyday tasks. Movement is the foundation for all of this. It helps build the brain systems behind attention, impulse control, and emotional regulation.

I create accessible resources, like my app Focus in 15™, to make research-backed movement routines simple and realistic to implement in daily family life. I'm passionate about helping families support learning and behavior at the root so life feels easier and everyone's mental health is better.

What problem were you facing before using Movement?

My audience is parents—busy parents. If I wanted them to be able to realistically and consistently implement the exercises I recommend, they needed a tool that was at their fingertips. Not a course you had to log into and search through to find the actionable step for the day.

But as someone who is only a year into monetizing my business, a custom app just felt too out of reach financially. Movement is exactly what I was looking for to make content easily accessible and organized in a way that makes implementation easy—and the cost is reasonable.

"The biggest problem was that the platform didn't fully support the structure, clarity, and experience I want my members to have."

What made you choose Movement over other platforms? Did you try any others?

The custom app appearance is definitely what sold me. I had first tried to build this membership on Circle and it felt clunky—not like what I had envisioned. I couldn't get excited about putting it out there because I knew it could be better.

Movement allowed me to build the app in a way that combines instruction and actionable steps in a format that reduces overwhelm, with an appealing aesthetic to boot.

How has Movement helped you grow, simplify, or scale?

Movement is helping me grow by allowing me to offer a membership that results in more consistent, recurring revenue. I've been able to grow to over 200 paid members in one month's time with great feedback on the usability of the app.

This allows me to worry less about making sales and more about providing value within the membership and through other free resources.

What features or aspects of Movement have been most useful for your work?

I found Movement very intuitive. I was able to build out the frame of the app in one weekend with minimal web-building experience.

The AI feature is very helpful for walking through the steps to achieve what you're hoping to build. And the human support team at Movement is also very helpful and prompt in their responses.

What would you tell another coach or creator considering Movement?

As someone who did a lot of research — Movement is the best option if you're considering an app format and don't have thousands to shell out to a custom app developer.

Lauren's mission is simple: to empower parents with practical, brain-based tools that help their children thrive. And that mission only works if the delivery matches the promise—if a burnt-out parent can open the app, find what they need, and actually follow through. Where Circle.so created friction, Movement removed it.

The results have followed. Over 200 paid members in her first month, an app her audience genuinely loves using, and the kind of recurring revenue that lets her pour everything back into the content and community she's building.

For a mom and clinician who got into this to help families, not to manage tech, that clarity matters. Movement didn't just solve a platform problem—it gave Lauren the freedom to show up fully as the expert she is, and her members the seamless experience they need to stay consistent and see real change in their kids.
