Why Kevin left Passion.io after 5 years to rebuild K-FIT on Movement

Kevin Linden has spent 12 years as a personal trainer and his programs reflect it. Calisthenics, kettlebell training, WODs, bodyweight work, stretching, posture, yoga, and nutrition. The kind of breadth that takes years to develop and, until now, no single platform could properly hold.

He stuck with Passion.io for nearly five years. Long enough to know its limits inside out. Features he needed weren't there, stability was unreliable, and something as basic as updating content across his programs was far more effort than it needed to be.

After half a decade of working around its limitations, watching support disappear, and dealing with instability he couldn't market around, he was done.

When Kevin switched to Movement and built K-FIT, he finally had a platform that could hold every discipline he coaches, update content globally in one click, and grow alongside everything he's still building.

Can you tell us about our business and who you help?

K-FIT is an online fitness platform built for anyone looking to train with structure and variety, from beginners finding their footing to experienced athletes chasing specific goals. Whether you're training at home or in the gym, there's a program for you. Strength, conditioning, flexibility, nutrition it's all there, built on over 12 years of experience and designed so that every session has a purpose.

What led you to create your own app with Movement?

I started on Passion.io to create a fitness app for my team and clients and develop my audience. I've been building my content and database for five years, but I never felt confident pushing it to market because there was always something wrong—videos loading slowly, images cropped incorrectly, features that didn't work. It never felt professional enough to go all-in on marketing.

Why did you choose Movement to create your app?

I was very disappointed after 4-5 years with Passion.io and finally decided to move to a competitor. Movement proposes a few features that are better and very interesting: notes on every training, a calendar to plan sessions, and other functionality. I also very much appreciate the stability of the app.

The calendar feature is fantastic—clients can schedule their own week, selecting which sessions they want to do on which days. That level of flexibility makes a huge difference.

What did you particularly like about using Movement?

The fact that every exercise can be updated and will be updated in every place in one click. On Passion, every time you used a video in a different lesson, you had to re-upload it. Nothing was connected. If I wanted to update one exercise across multiple programs, I'd have to do it manually everywhere. Movement mirrors content across programs—I update it once, and it changes everywhere.

The flexibility in designing pages and the architecture is also a big advantage. You can create pages and connect them the way you want, which gives you so much more control than rigid templates.

"I liked the fact that every exercise can be updated and will be updated in every place in one click."

Would you recommend Movement to others?

Sure. If you've outgrown your platform and need something that respects the work you put in, Movement delivers.

After five years on Passion.io—five years of features appearing and disappearing, support going silent, and platform instability he couldn't market around—Kevin decided to make a move.

K-FIT is now what he always meant to build: twelve years of expertise across calisthenics, kettlebell training, yoga, nutrition, and more, all in one place that actually works the way it should. No more re-uploading the same exercise video to 15 different programs. No more rebuilding content around features that disappear two months later. Just a platform that updates globally in one click and grows as K-FIT does.

For any fitness professional who knows they've outgrown their current platform, Kevin's story proves the right move is worth making.
